Years ago, I had helped build a fast growth manufacturing company. We had done it by hiring all the best and brightest people. What I didn’t realize initially was that every time my employees went home - so did my business. And every time someone would leave, a part of the business would leave with them. And in typical fashion of most business owners I thought "if I just had more money" all my problems would go away. So I went and got some investors for the business and eventually lost my ownership. What I didn’t realize until it was too late, was that I was actually a victim of my own creation.
Fortunately, a friend of mine introduced me to 5 Proven Strategies for High Impact Growth that have changed my life, and the lives of the business owners we have worked with, forever.
So, why is it so compelling?
Well, the basis of this concept is that it isn’t entrepreneurs that start businesses in this country but technicians suffering from an entrepreneurial seizure.
And they make this fatal assumption that just because they understand the technical work of the business, they understand a business that does that technical work. And nothing could be further from the truth. Because the technical work of the business is only a small part of what needs to happen in your business. Owners need to begin working ON their business instead of IN it. The owner needs to become a visionary, a true entrepreneur with a vision of what the business will look like when it's done. And then begin the process of business development, a process of developing the operating processes that will allow our business to work without them.
