Years ago, I had helped build a fast growth manufacturing company. We had done it by hiring all the best and brightest people. What I didn’t realize initially was that every time my employees went home - so did my business. And every time someone would leave, a part of the business would leave with them. And in typical fashion of most business owners I thought "if I just had more money" all my problems would go away. So I went and got some investors for the business and eventually lost my ownership. What I didn’t realize until it was too late, was that I was actually a victim of my own creation.

So, why is it so compelling?
